Tamsin Rickeard, Director of Finance

Tamsin completed her Chartered Accountancy training with Ernst & Young in London in 1994. During her time with the company, Tamsin worked across a number of business sectors including Oil, Insurance, Defence and Telecoms, enjoying exposure to clients facing change and challenges.

With her practical and solutions-based approach, Tamsin decided that her interests lay in assisting companies to grow and manage transformation. After leaving Ernst & Young, she went on to work with SMEs, working her way up to Finance Director. During this time, Tamsin’s focus was on implementing new business practices and introducing meaningful and timely management information, to enable companies to make informed decisions. Having gone through a turnaround with one company, she decided to focus specifically on this area and set-up her own consultancy which worked with SMEs in periods of change and/or crisis.

In her consultancy she has worked with a wide range of businesses, including advertising agencies, brand consultancies, events management, and a small investment fund. Tamsin carried out projects such as valuing businesses, due diligence, setting-up financial systems, staff training and turnarounds.

Tamsin joined the Board of CP Plus in April 2010, helping to take CP Plus to the next stage in its development.

Random Fact

Tamsin is a self-avowed foodie and spends much of her time wondering around markets and dreaming up her next dinner party menu. She also has a love for rainforests having spent six months working for a charity in Borneo and takes any opportunity she has to disappear into them.
